McDonald Community Development, Inc.

McDonald Community Development, Inc. (MCD) was created when members of the community recognized that McDonald lacked a financial and planning organization that could appropriately address short-term and long-term community development needs.

In July of 2021, MCD received IRS approval to become a nonprofit corporation, and specifically a 501(c) 3 corporation, which better equips it to support its community development efforts by pursuing grants and other development incentives.

Since then, it has undertaken a number of community improvement projects, with others currently underway and many more in the planning stages. You can check these out in more detail on the Projects page.

Mission Statement

MCD Develops paths to a stronger community through creative thinking, focused development planning and implementation, and leveraged financial incentives. Our priorities will be to improve housing stock, inspire healthy living, and increase educational opportunities.
